Friday Finish

1930's lap quilt - front

today i have not one, but two finishes to show you!  i finally felt like i could handle the upper body movements that FMQ required, so last weekend i had M cut batting for me from the ginormo roll and help baste two quilts i'd had tops and backings ready for weeks.

on sunday afternoon, i was able to complete the quilting on both, then added the bindings later in the week.  i also washed and dried both to see how they'd crinkle up.

here's the back of the quilt pictured above, plus a close up of the quilting (a loose meander on this one):

i'm taking this quilt to corpus this weekend as a gift for the mother of a close friend of my own mother.

here's the second finish:

this one will go into the charity quilt pile for the Houston Modern Quilt Guild.

i also have a THIRD quilt that just needs the binding handstitched to the back, but i guess you'll have to wait on photos of it until next week!

These are cute!

I'm not sure if these quilts fit in the WIP category, but I'm so impressed that you have finished so many WIPs so far.

Go Amy go!
