i switched around some of my priorities this week, and i got quite a bit done, but not as much as i wanted.
i made my first Wiksten tank. to get it to fit right, i had to add darts to the front, from each breast down to the hemline, each taking in 2 inches. it was still a little weird in how it fit in the lower back, but a belt fixed this.
i also started and finished the top of my Madrona Road challenge quilt, and even got it mostly quilted.
here's a sneak peek:
we also made the pulled pork recipe from the latest Penzey's catalog this week. we bought some king's hawaiian rolls and i made some coleslaw and we had pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. YUM! we have more for another meal, too!
lastly, i laid out the blocks for the girly string triangle quilt into a top on my design wall.
this week, i have a surgical procedure scheduled for wednesday, which will keep me laid up for a few days, so i won't have much sewing time this week. good thing i've been pretty productive so far this year!
goals for this week:
---> finish quilting Madrona Road quilt and bind
---> assemble top of girly string triangle quilt
---> piece backing for string triangle quilt
