for almost a month now, i've been wanting to try these yummy-looking cookies. today i finally got off my butt and made these. i had the same cheap chocolate-covered macadamia nuts from walgreens, but i only used 1 1/2 packages. i also used 1/2 c. Splenda brown sugar blend in place of the 1 c. brown sugar. the dough tasted awesome, so i couldn't wait for the cookies to be done.
even the cats couldn't hardly wait for the cookies to be done!Verdict: they're good, but not as good as the dough was. i suspect it has to do with the Splenda substitution, which also made them appear a little paler than they should. i'll definitely make these again, but NOT make the Splenda substitution!
