Friday FInish - Sweet Sunshine
Back in late January/early February, Both M and I had the flu. I missed three weeks of work, but while I was sick, the fourth issue of Love Patchwork & Quilting arrived. When I saw the pattern for the Block of the Month - Sweet Sunshine - by Lynn Goldworthy, I knew I had to make it.
Despite feeling sicker than I ever have, I dragged myself into the sewing room and cut pieces for a single block.
By the end of the week I had three, which I sewed into a long rectangle. Then the piece sat. Finally I cut a backing and basted the piece, and then it sat again, as I was working on other projects with white thread and didn't want to change the thread to grey!
Finally I changed my thread and quilted and bound the piece. I put triangles on the back for a hanger, so it can be either a table runner or a wall hanging. I can't decide to whether to keep it for myself or gift it!
