Zakka Along 2.0 - Week 2 - B, L, D Towels
Week 2's project for the Zakka Along 2.0 as we work our way through Patchwork, Please! was the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner towels.
These took longer than the bell pepper coasters, mainly because each letter and appliqued piece is zigzagged in coordinating thread, meaning lots of thread and bobbin changes!
Instead of cutting my towels out of linen, I used some flour cloth dishtowels I had on hand, probably purchased for an abandoned embroidery project! I went ahead and added colorful binding, even though my towels were pre-finished, just to add that extra bit of fun.
All three towels are super cute, but i think my favorite is the lunch towel, because I love the wee salt and pepper shakers!
Next week's project is a tea cozy and pocket tea bag carrier, but since I'm not a tea drinker, I'll likely skip and pick up again the following week!

Cute!
I don't drink tea either but I wanted to make the tea accessories anyway...
These are really well done! I'm with you - the salt and pepper set stole my heart, and yours are adorable!
Totally love- you are trying some cool stuff.
