last month i bought a copy of Patchwork, Please by Ayumi Takahashi and was thrilled to learn that there would be a Zakka Along 2.0 to work through the projects in the book!
week one kicked off monday, with penny from sew take a hike showing how she modified ayumi's bell pepper coaster pattern to make a hot pad.
i made the coasters, mostly as indicated, though i did make fabric stems instead of using felt. i whipped up a set of six coasters, two of each colorway, as a housewarming gift for a dear friend.
these are so cute and so quick and easy to whip up! it took me maybe an hour to make all six, including time spent agonizing over fabric choices!
i can't wait for the next project - breakfast, lunch and dinner dish towels!
