i've been working on my embroiderbee quilt quite a bit this week, hoping to have it ready so safieh and liz can help me baste it this weekend, but i also took a break to make a birthday present for a dear friend who turned forty last week. my friend gaby recently made the cutest round coasters with polka dot binding, so i copied her and made a set for cohen. i also whipped up two potholders as well.
all of the fabrics for both the coasters and the potholders except the binding on the potholders came out of my scrap bin(s), so i didn't even have to buy anything. i already had some insulbrite from previous potholder sewing, too. this was my first time using selvedge in a project, too, and i like how it turned out!
ozzie had a productive quilting day, too.

Love the small projects! Circular binding, I would be scared off by that.
Ozzie is such good helper! His peachy-pinks match Pippa's.
Ozzie is totally showing you up in the productivity department. I like your coasters and potholders!
