Results-filled Weekend

saturday i spent the day sewing with a friend. we worked on our spiderweb blocks for the Sew 2 Speak Bee. later that night, i worked on my blocks for the Sewn Together Bee.



sunday, i finished a quilt top and the backing for a kids quilt to send to Quilts for Kids. hoepfully this week i can get it sandwiched and quilted. i also made the binding.

sunday was also a food day. M and i made peanut butter and chocolate ice cream in our ice cream maker. very, very tasty. in the pic below it's a bit melty. then i tried a new recipe for some yeast rolls filled with chocolate. the recipe made a lot - forty rolls - so i'll take some to the office in the morning. these are almost as good as the ice cream!
