No Sewing, but a Productive Day
so, the picture's deceptive since i neither vacuumed nor tried to vacuum up a kitty, but i did spend about an hour cleaning and got so much accomplished! my sink was clean from last night, so while lunch was prepping, i unloaded the dishwasher and put away the dishes i'd handwashed, then after lunch instead of just dumping my dishes in the sink, i put them straight in the dishwasher and went ahead and cleaned the foreman grilll. after, i folded and put away a load of laundry, started another load, cleaned my bathroom toilet and sink, cleaned off my nightstand, went through a pile of books and magazines in the living room and boxed up some for a yard sale and some for the recycling bin. i also moved the garbage can and recycling can out to the curb since M is still out of town and watered the garden. also i put away several pairs of my shoes that were scattered throughout the house. i'm kind of amazed at how much i got done in such a short amount of time! tonight i'm going to be with my kitchen sink shining, and a clean bathroom. i have our bed quilt in the dryer right now, and will be doing the sheets tomorrow and will start this month's Fly Lady habit of making my bed. we NEVER make the bed around here, but i do remember a few weeks ago, M wasn't working and i was, so he stripped the bed and washed the sheets while i was at work. he was out when i got home, but i remember coming in to change clothes and seeing the made up bed and thinking how nice that was! so, starting tomorrow, i'm going to make making the bed a habit.
i also selected 8 fat quarters of fabric for a Sew, Mama, Sew! swap, packaged them up and mailed all but two that have to go international. i also mailed mary's blocks for the Red & Aqua Bee 2. tomorrow i'll go to the post office again to mail those, but i have to go during regular business hours since you can't use the automated machine for international mail.

Good for you! Funny how one thing leads to another and in a short time you have a lot more done than you could have imagined :)
