The Weekly List

it was a busy week here, getting the house and patio ready for the annual Houston Modern Quilt Guild BBQ M and I host every June!  we had a nice turnout yesterday, fewer folks than usual, but a nice, unchaotic get together.  as usual M made tasty ribs, brisket and chickens, and guests brought sides and desserts.  we all ate too much, and i'll be eating BBQ leftovers all week!

i squeezed in a fair amount of sewing in between cleaning and such, and managed to make not one but TWO sets of the B, L, D towels from Patchwork, Please!  i decided to give the first set to a friend, but loved them so much i made a second set for myself.  i'm too tired to get the camera, so i'll post pictures later.

i also finished assembling the top of my Hope Valley quilt, made with Patience Corners blocks set together with sashing.  this will be gifted to M's aunt charlotte when we visit her next month.

goals for this week:

---> prep backing for Hope Valley quilt
---> modified project for Zakka Along 2.0
---> baste Hope Valley quilt and purple patchwork quilt
