M and i have been doing great on our quest to eat what's in our freezer and pantry so far. last week, we started going to the gym again and also decided to eat healthier. we still managed to eat from the freezer, just adding more fresh veggies to our meals.
yesterday M used the meat grinder to grind up most of the rest of the deer in the freezer and a brisket to make "bambi burger" - a mix of 50% deer and 50% brisket. now instead of three very large and awkwardly shaped hunks of meat, we have 20 tidy one pound packages stacked neatly!
monday - chili made w/ deer
tuesday - grilled swai filets, sauteed yellow squash and zucchini, salad
wednesday - spaghetti w/deer meat sauce, salad
thursday - shredded chicken taco salads
friday - DATE NIGHT (it's our 5th anniversary!)
saturday - ribeye steaks, german potato salad, green beans
sunday - chicken spaghetti
