12 in '12 - January Finish

while i had a smaller finish of a wallhanging for my mom last week, my "big" finish for this month was the batik bento box quilt i've been working on as a birthday gift for my dad, whose birthday is coming up lickety-split on february 3rd!

i finally finished the last bit of handstitching on the binding last week, and safieh came over sunday to take some lovely pictures, which i included above.

although i hated these blocks, and even still hated the top, i have to admit that i love the finished product! turns out i'm not alone in this love, as my husband and two out of four cats have tried to claim this quilt as their own! maybe i'll have to make another . . . i did find an oversized ziplock with a lot of batiks while cleaning out this week!

so, what did you finish this month? don't forget to go over to safieh's blog to link up to your finish and enter our giveaway!

I thought this was Ozzie's quilt, though. ;)
It turned out very nice; I bet your dad will love it!

very nice quilt! It can be challenging to make a quilt for a man but it looks like you hit it spot on!
