show and tell tuesday

yay! tonight i finished all of my remaining january bee blocks. good thing since i got my first february package yesterday.

initially, when i got my fabric package from lolaoceanblue for the fresh modern bee 2, i set it aside, knowing she had asked for circle blocks. i was pretty intimidated. later, she posted some more inspiration pics and said to her hexagons read as circular. yay. i had seen blocks similar to the one above on flickr and had been considering this block for the 3 x 6 bee this quarter. when i finally opened lola's envelope and saw the fabric, i knew i could do a trial run with this block.

turns out i love it, and it's not even that hard! score! the one above is my fave, but i also made these two:


i also whipped up two pinwheel blocks for karrie in the pretty in pink bee:

i made a starflower block for krissy in the red and aqua bee 2, but forgot to take a picture.

last night i stitched up another batch of hexies. i think now i need to start making things out og the hexies instead of just making more hexies!
